Lea County Summer Food
Program
Child & Family Services, Inc. of Lea
County (CFS, Inc.) announces its sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program.
Beginning June 1, 2010 and ending August 13, 2010, meals will be served
Monday through Friday at 15 sites in Hobbs and seven sites in Lovington
at varying times (See schedule below). CFS, Inc. will serve an average
of 1200 lunches every week day. Breakfast and supper are also
offered at some sites. Meals are offered to all children, ages 1-18,
without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
The Purpose of the Summer
Food Program
The primary purpose of the Summer Food
Service Program is to provide food service to children from needy
areas during periods when area schools are closed for vacation.
Meal Site Rules
1. Must be 1 through 18 years of age to
receive a meal. 2. Meals and food items cannot be taken away from meal
site. 3. Must receive entire meal, including milk. 4. All meals will served
on a first come-first served basis.
